Kabbalah sa 1 Samuel 12:22: Sha'arei Orah

Now, as you already know, the secret of the Name HaShem-יהו״ה, blessed is He, is singular to the Jewish people. This is the secret of the verse,¹⁷⁸Samuel I 12:22 “For HaShem-יהו״ה will not forsake His people, for the sake of His Great Name.” That is, though they are not as righteous as they should be, nevertheless, “HaShem-יהו״ה will not forsake His people.” Why? Because they have a portion in His Great Name, and just as His Great Name undergoes no change, so likewise, the Jewish people cannot be extinguished. This is the secret of the verse,¹⁷⁹Malachi 3:6 “For I HaShem-יהו״ה have not changed; and you, the children of Yaakov, have not perished.”
